Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Entire Agreement

Mr. Hume Miller serves as the Chief Executive Officer of PaySchools at i3 Verticals, LLC. Prior to starting up PaySchools, Mr. Miller held a sales position for Retail Data Systems with a focus on restaurant point-of-sale. With a long history of POS experience, he also founded a restaurant consulting enterprise. Mr. Miller graduated from Regis College with a double major in finance/economics and business.

Mr. David Sowiak serves as the Corporate Architect for i3 Verticals, LLC.  Mr. Sowiak has held several positions at Payschools including Lead Developer, Product Manager, and most recently the Vice President of Development. Mr. Sowiak has over 20 years of experience as a technical leader at companies that operated in the software services, health, education, materials management, advertising, and transportation sectors. Mr. Sowiak graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a Computer Information Systems major, and a Business administration minor. He lives in Denver and is an avid skier and remains a diehard Green Bay Packers fan.

Tim Arheit

Mr Tim Arheit serves as the Chief Software Architect of Payschools and maintains the servers and oversees network security and PCI compliance.
   He has been with Payschools for more than 15 years.  Prior to Payschools he worked as a civil engineer at Kohli & Kaliher  Associates.   Tim graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in electrical engineering.   In his free time he is an avid beekeeper and is the president of the Ohio State Beekeepers Association.

Andy is the head of our Marketing and Partnership Team. He has been with PaySchools for just over five years. He was instrumental in the rebranding and new brand strategies for the company. Andy continues to raise the expectations and standards of communication and solution platform marketing.

Jenna Heitsch serves as PaySchools Partner Relations Manager. Prior to being the Partner Relations Manager, Jenna was the Key Account Manager for the Northeast territory. In this position, she served as the primary point of contact for customers, and also planned and coordinated software and hardware upgrades for these customers. This effort ensured a more efficient and effective day to day operations  for these customers.
Jenna is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a degree in Business Marketing, and she began her career in healthcare marketing, then moved into account management, at a boutique marketing agency.
Like most Coloradoans, Jenna often spends her free time outdoors, skiing, running, boating, and hiking with her family. She also enjoys a glass of bold red wine, nights out at the theatre or local concert venue.

Lori Ludwig is one of the founders of Local Level Events, LLC.  Lori received an undergraduate degree in elementary education from Bowling Green State University.  She later earned a Master’s degree in education from The University of Findlay.  Lori spent 19 years in the classroom before collaborating to develop Local Level Events in order to assist colleagues and schools in handling tickets, cash and event registration.  While teaching and creating Local Level have been rewarding accomplishments, being a wife and mother to 3 sweet girls is her greatest JOY!

Dan Fearman

Dan Fearman

Dan develops web and database applications with a focus on reporting.  He is a graduate of Denver Technical College with a degree in Network Systems Administration.   Originally from Western New York, Dan served in the US Army which brought him to Colorado.   Prior to joining PaySchools, Dan worked on development teams for a national cable provider and a travel media company.  When he’s not tapping away at a keyboard, Dan enjoys hiking, craft beer and playing guitar; just not all at once.

Lori Huff is one of the Founders of Local Level, LLC and currently serves as Product Owner for the Local Level Events and Forms products offered by PaySchools and i3Verticals, LLC.  Lori received a MBA degree from The Ohio State University and an undergraduate degree from The University of Dayton in Management Information Systems and Accounting.  Lori began her career as an Information Technology Consultant for Accenture and Navigator Management Partners.  She is also a licensed Realtor in the state of Ohio.  While starting Local Level was one of the craziest and most rewarding accomplishments in her life, she is most proud to be called a wife and mother to 2 great kids.

Mr. Dave Kannikal is a developer with PaySchools specializing in payment and inventory management systems. With over 25 years of programming and database experience, Mr. Kannikal has created a variety of systems with PaySchools and with previous companies. Originally from Detroit, he moved to the Denver area in the early 80’s and grew to love the Centennial state. After receiving his degree from Colorado State University (Go Rams!), Mr. Kannikal has worked steadily as a computer programmer and web developer. Dennis Vargas

Dennis Vargas is a software developer at PaySchools.  Mr. Vargas has 20 years of experience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex software applications including computer simulation, data visualization, and system integration.  In addition to working with software, he has enjoyed working as a pilot, flying corporate jets, and teaching people how to fly.  Mr. Vargas holds a Master of Software Engineering and a B.S. in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Matt Von Stetina

As a member of the PaySchools Central API team, Matthew Von Stetina continues to enhance and push the technological boundaries of the Payschools Central and Payschools Admin API, including automated payment processing and shopping cart integration. He has also been involved in support and enhancement development for PaySchools Admin, QuikLunch and QuikApps.  When pesky little bugs appear, Matthew excels at finding the cause and providing a solution.  Matthew is a Syracuse University alumnus, a happy husband, a father of seven and enjoys repairing vintage arcade games in his spare time.

Chelsea Brown serves as the Implementation Manager at PaySchools. Prior to taking on the role of implementation manger, Chelsea held the positions of both Support Specialist and Support Team Lead at PaySchools. Prior to working at PaySchools, Chelsea has customer service and sales experience working in food, retail and automotive industries. Chelsea graduated from the University of Mount Union with a major in Psychology and a minor in English writing.

Ms. Nicole Burskey serves as one of our Key Account Managers.  After starting with PaySchools in Feb 2014 in Sales, Nicole now enjoys her role of making her assigned customers as happy as possible!  Her background in athletics gives her a drive and passion for taking her work to the next level, while bringing a personal touch to everything she does. 

Prior to PaySchools, Nicole graduated from Michigan State University and worked in recruiting and sales for 8 years.  Nicole is a mother to 2 human children, and one canine child, a labradoodle named Zoe.  In her free time, she stays active playing soccer, softball, or any other sport or game!  She also enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

John Casillas

John Casillas is a Support Specialist at PaySchools. He has been working with school districts for over three years. John plays softball and enjoys macramé when he is not tending to his sheep.

Sue Clark

Sue Clark

Sue Clark has been with the company for 13 years.  If you have called the toll-free number you probably have spoken with her. Along with answering the phone Sue does all the shipping and receiving and numerous office duties.  Sue worked as a data entry and page layout specialist at a local magazine company before finding her way here. She is an animal lover and along with her husband has recently adopted a puppy from the local humane society.

Tyler Cobb is a Support Specialist at PaySchools and works primarily with PayForIt. Prior to working at PaySchools Tyler worked in various different fields from medical sales to college admissions. Tyler is also the Head Cheer Coach Thomas Jefferson High School. In 2014, Tyler graduated from the University of Northern Colorado where she earned two degrees; Communication and Sociology. She was also a cheerleader during all four years of college. Tyler enjoys working for PaySchools and hopes to remain with the company for many years to come.

Betsy Cornell

Betsy Cornell

Betsy Cornell, Customer Support Specialist, spent 32 years as a school food service director with hands-on experience in food production, regulations and reporting. Her insight into school operations and computer specifics help  her customers solve their tracking and reporting issues. With the time saved on administrative work, she created seasonal school meal events, Farm to School gardens and Summer Meal Programs that incorporated AmeriCorp VISTA volunteers, a food bus and fender blender fun. In addition, she helped create a farmer’s market, a community food pantry and church scholarship fund while teaching unicycling and riding in local parades. Betsy has also worked in food service at camps, health centers and restaurants and holds degrees from the Culinary Institute of America, Kent State University and the University of Akron Law School. Her current passion is helping her customers serve their students efficiently.

Melissa has been with the PaySchools team for 3 years providing QuikLunch training and Support. She now does site maintenance and support for Local Level Events. Prior to joining the PaySchools team, Melissa worked in the food service industry for 7 years; shift leading, cooking and waiting tables. She is always quick to please and always makes sure the customer is put first and is happy. She also has a 5 year old, who isn’t so easy to please. Melissa enjoys a good challenge!

Adrian Drlik serves as the Support Team Lead for Payschools Canton office at i3 Verticals LLC. Mr. Drlik has 21 years of POS experience, 4 years in the restaurant point-of-sale and 17 years in the Education sector. Mr. Drlik spent 6 years prior at Congress Lake Country Club in Hartville, Ohio as the Outside Supervisor in the golf facility. Mr. Drlik graduated from Glenoak High School and attended Kent State University.

Mr. Justin Esber is a graduate of The University of Akron with an Associate's Degree in Computer Information Systems.  Happily married to his wife, Cameron, of 5 years with two beautiful children; ages 2.5 years and 5 months.  He enjoys traveling with his family, riding his jet ski around the lake, and snowboarding in the winter.  Justin participates in softball, bowling and kickball.  He has 15 years of experience with school POS systems and while proficient with all modules offered by PaySchools he is the SME of FORMs and PSA.

Mena Gabra graduated with an associate’s degree from Tri-C in computer engineering and Certification. Mena is married and has 2 adventurous boys. Mena worked as an installer and trainer for restaurant point-of-sale and has 6 years of POS experience. He has been working at PaySchools as an installer and trainer for 12 years at PaySchools. He enjoys traveling, fishing, soccer and is a pro at ping pong.

This is Marisa! Marisa moved back to Colorado from Arizona three years ago. She studied Strategic Communications and Advertising at Northern Arizona University and proceeded to work in the entertainment, marketing, and software industries. She is an out-going and smiley individual who loves her two little dogs, community, philanthropy, and building relationships. She brings a new meaning to the phrase “Binge Watching”. (Ex. Six seasons of Game of Thrones in three weeks. If you can top that, please email her directly). Her interests and bizarre background has helped her become a strong Key Account Manager on the PaySchools team. In her free time, you can catch Marisa at local shows, up in the mountains, and living by the motto “will try anything once, twice if I like it!”.

Amber Mengee

Amber Mengee

Amber Menge is the Support Manager in the Denver office. She supports the team using her almost 6 years of experience in a support role at Payschools. Amber has worked in many different areas at Payschools, starting in PayForIt parent support and then moved to district support, where she enjoys helping both sides to achieve their goals or address concerns. Her favorite experience at Payschools was the launch of a new POS called QSP4, now known as QuikLunch, as it allowed her to do what see loves best - merge the technical side of software with easy use for all walks of life. Amber graduated from Red Rocks Community College with a degree in Computer Hardware (CompTIA), Microsoft Certified Systems Administer (MCSA), and Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), and then went on to get a bachelor’s degree at Ashford University in Iowa for Computer Information Systems. On the personal side that contributes to her love of the K12 arena, Amber has two little kids under 4 teaching her about the school industry from a parent perspective, she feels this adds to her ability to see the software from both the parent and the district side, and work towards better support for both.

Brandy Morrison is a Support Specialist at PaySchools. She supports our team by triaging calls, processing refunds and setting up merchant accounts. She attended Arapahoe Community College in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Creative Writing.  She has a hunger for traveling the globe along with the distant places of fantasy literature.  When travel is not taking her away from home she enjoys taking care of her wide array of pets and binge watching the latest T.V series.

Chris O’Neil is a Colorado native who received a Bachelor’s in Marketing from the Metropolitan State University of Denver.  When Chris isn’t fly fishing  in the South Platte, or coaching the local high school lacrosse team, he is hitting the books working on his MBA.

Chris’s sense of humor is outdone only by his natural and effortless good looks, but doesn’t let it change who he is.  Chris loves working with the education industry and plans to continue that for years to come!

Tony currently holds the role of customer service specialist within PaySchools.  Before accepting his current position in 2010, Tony worked for a local municipality serving as a recreation programmer overseeing adult and youth recreation programs.  Tony graduated from Kent State University in 2007 with a B.S. in sports & recreation management.  In his free time he enjoys being with wife and two daughters.  His hobbies and interests include being a die-hard Cleveland sports fan as well as hunting, fishing, & playing bocce.

Mrs.Sutton came to us after a 13-year employment with a school district who uses our systems. Yes, we checked with the district prior to her employment with us. At the district, Mrs. Sutton worked as the athletic secretary and the bookkeeper for the high school. Residing in Colorado allows her to pursue the activities she truly enjoys, vegetable gardening, fishing and RZR riding.

Charles has worked with Child Nutrition software products for almost 13 years. He graduated from VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University) with a bachelors degree in Information Systems. He believes in strong relationships between himself and his customers and strongly believes that trust is what retains a customer.

He recently got married and now has three children (one of his own and two step children) that he adores.  He likes spending time with his new family, cooking and passionate about Tacoma trucks and off-roading.

Corey Bang

Corey Bang

Corey Bangs is a PaySchools Support Specialist.  She's been in Colorado since she was five years old, but did a quick pit stop at Miami University in Oxford, OH for four years.  She was a competitive diver at Miami and now coaches young divers in Denver (stuck in the past, I suppose).  In her free time, Corey enjoys skiing, attempting to cook, eating second breakfast, and spoiling her grumpy hedgehog.
