An Evening With Rosalind Wiseman: Creating Cultures of Dignity

Wednesday, October 3rd, 7 PM
Whitehall HS Auditorium

Rosalind is the author of Queen Bees and Wannabes: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques,Gossip, Boyfriends, and the New Realities of Girl World, the bestselling book that was the basis for the movie Mean Girls. She is currently working on a companion book for boys. Each year Rosalind works with tens of thousands of students, educators, parents, counselors, coaches, and administrators to create communities based on the belief that each person has a responsibility to treat themselves and others with dignity. In 2011, she was one of the principal speakers at the While House Summit on Bullying.

This evening event, part of the White Lake Initiative SPEAK series, will provide parents, guardians, teachers, youth development professionals, counselors and other interested adults with concrete tools that can be used to help our young people navigate the complex world of growing up, including how to deal with the realities of social media such as texting and Facebook.

Tickets are $10 for Whitehall and Montague residents, $15 for all others.
