My school uses PaySchools. How do I get started?
Follow the PaySchools link from your school districtís website to select the items you would like to purchase and create your PaySchools account. PaySchools only stores the information requested at the time of registering (name, address, telephone number, email address and password). For your security, we do NOT store any bank account information; payment information will need to be entered each time you make a purchase. Payment options include e-check, PayPal account ,or Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit or debit card. Once your transaction has been successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation screen and a confirmation email. If you use a debit/credit card or PayPal account you will also receive a confirmation email from PayPal. Please keep the email(s) for your records. Back

My login information doesnít work.
You may select the ďForgot PasswordĒ link on the login page.

You will receive an email from info@payschools.com. Please be sure to add that email address to your safe senders list. If you do not have access to the email address registered on your PaySchools account, or if the login information provided in the email does not work, please contact PaySchools Support at info@payschools.com or call 866-729-5353 opt 2 between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Central Time for assistance. We will need to know your name, email address associated to the account, and daytime phone number so we can reset your login information. Please note that special characters (< > $ # ' ! * ) can not be used in passwords and will be removed.

Note: If your school district has integrated PaySchools with another program (some examples are Infinite Campus Parent Portal, Skyward Family Access, JMC, School Dining System, or Zangle Parent Connect), you will need to first log into that program with the username and password which is assigned by your school. Once you have selected your purchases and check out, you will then be asked for your PaySchools login (email address and password).

How do I update my email address and password?
To update your PaySchools email address or password, select the "Your Online Profile" option from the left hand navigation bar after signing in. Back

How do I pay with a credit card?
Select the "Pay by Credit Card or PayPal (Click Here)Ē link located to the right above the picture of the check on the checkout page. Use this option for debit card purchases as well. Back




When will this payment be reflected on my child's meal account?
Updates to student accounts can vary. Many schools reference that information on the PaySchools page of their web site. Please contact your school to determine when accounts will be updated. Back

Why didn't I get my low balance email?
If your school is set up with this feature, there are several issues that can cause low balance alerts not to be received. You should confirm that (1) the email address associated with your account is valid and (2) there is a set amount assigned to your student. Also, low balance e-mail notifications are sent from lowbalance@payschools.com, so you should add that to your safe senders list. Back

I made a payment to the wrong student. How can I correct that?
Please contact your school directly so they can make the adjustment. Back

I made a payment for the wrong item. How can that be corrected?
Please contact your school to request the funds be applied to the purchase of a different item. Some schools may require, for accounting purposes that the incorrect payment be refunded and a new payment submitted. Back

Why was my transaction reversed?
E-check transactions are reversed if they are returned from the bank. Reasons for reversals include NSF, invalid account number, bank unable to locate account number, account closed, payment stopped, and customer advises not authorized. Please contact your school to verify whether they want you to submit a new payment online payment or if they would prefer you bring a payment directly to the school. Back

I want a refund. How can I get one?
Please contact your school to request a refund. The funds from your online payment through PaySchools have been transferred to the schoolís bank account. Back

I have money left on a student account that is no longer attending. Can that be transferred to another student?
Please contact your school for assistance. PaySchools only processes the online payments; we do not have access to transfer funds between students. Back

Iím trying to add a student to my account but the program says it canít find my student.
Make sure you are following the PaySchools link provided on your schoolís web site. Then follow the instructions below depending on the screen you are directed to:

1) If the first PaySchools screen you are directed to lists available categories for your school, select the fees you wish to pay and check out; you will then sign in and be taken to a student screen where you should be able to successfully find your student. If you receive the error message again, please click the Sign Out button, close your web browser, and start over at the school web site.

2) If the first PaySchools screen asks you to sign in, then directs you to associate a student to your account, please confirm with the school that you are using the correct ID number and spelling the name exactly the same as they have entered. If your student name includes an apostrophe, please contact PaySchools customer support for assistance.

How do I check my studentís lunch account balance?
If your school is using that feature of PaySchools, you will be able to view student balance information when first signing in. Otherwise, PaySchools does not have access to student balance information. Please contact your school cafeteria for assistance. You may be able to view balances online through other software, such as Infinite Campus Parent Portal, Skyward Family Access, Zangle Parent Connect, or School Dining System. Back

How can I view a report of what my student is buying for lunch?
PaySchools cannot access a studentís spending history. Please contact your school cafeteria for assistance. You may be able to view balances online through other software, such as Infinite Campus Parent Portal, Skyward Family Access, Zangle Parent Connect, or School Dining System. Back

I want to cancel my PaySchools account.
You may send an e-mail to info@payschools.com requesting that your account be closed. If you are receiving low balance alerts for a student that is no longer at the school, please start at the schoolís web site and sign into PaySchools. Click the studentís name, then select ďIf (student name) should not be on your account, click here.Ē This will effectively deactivate your PaySchools account as you no longer have any students. Back

Why is there a $1.00 charge from PayPal on my statement?
PayPal is our card processor. If you choose to make your credit/debit card payment without signing into PayPal, they send a $1.00 test transaction to validate your account. The $1.00 charge is only temporary and will not actually be collected by PayPal, but will be released by your bank within a few business days. Back

I do not want to use a PayPal account.
Below are screen shots of different pages you may see. The links circled in red should enable you to process a credit/debit card payment without logging into PayPal. However, if PayPal recognizes the email address or credit/debit card number you are using as already being associated with a PayPal account, you will be prompted to log in. Back
